Arlene Low~ Instructional Designer

My hope is that my journey as an educator will always continue to grow and my career continues to mature and prepare to spread seeds of learning.

I am an educator who is passionate about providing voice and choice for students.  Allowing students to be the leaders of their learning is essential for 21st century schools.  It is because of this passion that I chose to complete my masters degree in Educational Technology and Design.  Many seeds have been planted throughout my years as an educator and now roots of knowledge as an Instructional Designer are allowing me to become stronger and more confident to branch out to support students and teachers.

Community Member

I have lived in a small town for most of my life and my husband and I have chosen to raise our children in his home town.  Experiencing small town living for our children is what we want their childhood to be.  Along with making these memories comes the responsibility to commit to being an active community member. Aside from my involvement with the school, I have also taken an active role in many community committees:

  • Town Councillor ( 2016- present)

  • Children's Community Theatre Committee ( Present Chair and Founder)

  • Davidson Historical Society ( 2017- Present)

  • Davidson Library Board ( 2016- Present)

  • Recreation Committee ( 2016- Present)

  • Coffee Pot Restoration Committee ( Present Chair)

  • Community Drama Club Director ( 2008 - Present)

  • Canada 150 Celebration Planning Committee ( 2017)
