ETAD 991: Final Portfolio

Instructor:  Tim Molner

Winter 2017  Online or Face to Face

ETAD 991 allows learners to reflect on their academic achievements by creativly and metaphocially responding to the question of " Who am I as a Scholar?" We were encouraged to reflect on:

  • perspectives

  • challenges

  • areas of growth

  • impact

We needed to show our final experiences by completing attending three reflective classes, online feedback discussion with other students, complete a conversation with a faculty member, submit a final portfolio in a format of our choice, presnt our final project and self- assess our achievements.

Growing...

So now what...well to begin I am going to enjoy every moment with my family! They have been enormously supportive and understanding of my school time and commitment. My hope is that they will be able to see the role model I want to be for them by witnessing how important education and determination is to me.  If mommy can do it...so can they! For now I will take a break from my studies however I do have friends that are currently in their ETAD program and some about to begin so I hope to stay engaged by supporting them.

Insights & Connections

To be able to spend the term reviewing and reflecting my classes has been a gift!  I really can not believe how I have grown as an educator and as a scholar.  There were times when I was taking the time to review each class that I couldn't remember everything that I had learned. However, once I began to look through my notes and assignments I was quickly reminded about what I learned.  There were moments during this reflective process that I laughed and I cried as I recalled moments with new " online friends".  I have said " good-bye and congratulations" to many of my new friends and now it is my turn begin a new phase of my career.
